FORMER SALESMAN ACCUSED IN SCAM.(CAPITAL REGION)

Guilderland A former salesman for Hershey's Corp., who was fired from his job 18 months ago when the company discovered he had filed phony expense vouchers, has been charged with bilking the company of more than $220,000 by pocketing rebate checks intended for good customers, State Police said.

Robert J. Caraynoff, 43, of Concord Hill Drive, Guilderland, was arrested Tuesday by State Police Investigator Joe Ficarella, who began working the case several months ago after being contacted by security officials for the Pennsylvania-based Hershey's Corp.
